i was dozing and all of a sudden that i had no hyd for the blade this is a case 450 crawler what could have happenend

Hey Butch, sounds like for some reason the hyd. pump quit turning, my Case experience is somewhat limited I cant remember if the hyd. pump is on the torque converter or driven off crankshaft pulley. John Deere's pumps that were driven off crank pulley were bad to strip shafts and couplers may be the same on a Case.

thanks guys for the info on the hyd pump on my case 450 turned out that the pump shaft took a dump

Butch..... This once happened on a 1973 450 I used to own. The drive coupler (splined) that drives the hyd. pump off the front of the engine had puked it's splines. Had to replace the coupler and pump because the pump shaft was bunged up too. After the fact I think I recall that there is a grease fitting on the coupler.
