Hey Boys, I have a big Freightliner (1996) and I got in it, started it, and heard a bad air leak coming from the dashboard behind where the air valves for releasing the brakes are. It did that about three times of starting it and leaked all the air out in quick order after shutting it down. This was starting it daily for a coupla days. Today I started it, it did the same thing so I took the screws out of the dash and pulled it out to have a look-see. Theres a spagetti mess in there and as I was looking I heard the leak stop. I shut the engine down and no leak, put the dash back together and still no leak yet. How can an air leak fix itself? Thanks, Sonny

are you in the cold up north? i have dump trucks that will do the same if i have water in the air lines ice will hold the air valves open . make sure your air drier is working or use air line antifreeze

I'm in Florida. It was probably about fifty degrees. I suppose water could be in the system. I recently bought the truck. Wahtayathink? Thanks, Sonny

My 88 fruitliner did the same thing when the temps dropped below freezing, like everything else the "O" rings contract and air leaks by.
