My dad has a Cat 933C. It needs a new motor and clutch. I have to do a graduation project for my high school and was thinking about working on it. Could you guys give me any info on this track loader. First off I would like to know where the serial no. is located. Thanks, Nathan

The number's under the seat, or behind the batteries if you can crane your neck that far. You say it needs a new clutch but until you remove it you won't know. Adjustment is simple if you have the repair manual. If you don't, you don't want to start on it. The interconnect adjustments for the clutch and transmission need to be followed closely. There was a manual on Ebay recently. I thought my engine was about worn out due to it's oil consumption until I asked what was normal. 3 quarts/day is nowhere close to needing a rebuild. If you guys don't have an owner's manual you might be surprised to learn of a couple of zerks in the front, one only accessible through holes in the brush guard with an extended gun nozzle. I paid Cat $60 to have an owners' manual printed up for me just to get that type of information. There's also a grease point on the water pump that I'd never have found otherwise. I'm certain the previous couple of owners had no idea it was there. Good luck.

just behind the injector assembley on the engine block is also a tag if it is like mine and the tag reads 11A2324 and is 24volt start then it weighs 7.9 tons 50hp and built in 1957, that model was only produced from 1956-1958. if you need more info send me an e-mail, good luck!
