I found an old Drott crawler sitting by a tractor shop. It is a Drott, yellow, and has a clamshell loader on it. No counter weights but has pin on rear to hitchthings to it. I couldnt find a plate or numbers. It has street pads 12 inches wide. the tracks from front to back measure 8 feet . Has a 4 cylinder gasoline engine. the front radiator protector is plate with lots holes stamped out of it like a Case 320 or 310 headlights same arrangement as my Case 320.
Track tensioners look like hydraulic.

It has a clamshell loader on front end
no ROP of course.
Anybody got any ideas about age, model Owner wants $2000 says was runnning good when set up a year and a half ago.
Are clamshell loader handy or have some inherent defect. ??? They are probably no much good for pushing trees. bill.

I am not partial to gas equipment.

You sure it isn't a IH T340. They used to use the Drott 4n1 bucket. The only problem I ever encountered with those was orings in the releif valve block for the clam located on the back side of the bucket.
