Looking at an International 500 crawler loader - any experience with this model; good, bad, or indifferent? Thanks for the help.

I have a 500C that is nice crawler, what type of tranny setup is the one your looking at? From what I have been able to gather, parts are hard to come by and expensive (not from personal experience, I haven't needed any parts yet). The torque converter/ reverser (that's what I have) are neat but a weak point because they can be abused so easily. The motors are not IH, mine is made in Germany, the earlier used a British motor. I wish it had a little more power too. On the good side, they are well designed, handy and rugged buggers and a lot of fun to use.

hi rick. I have a problem with my 500. It has a wet clutch. When the tractor is cold it moves fine, after it warms up it sees as though the clutch is slipping. The fluid level is full, but the fluid has what seems to be air bubbles throughout. It's like sucking air. Where would be the most likely place to start looking? Has anyone encountered this before? Also what type of fluids or weight do you recommend? Do you offer a trouble shooting book on this paticular piece? Thank you Bobby Anderson
