I was told that I might be able to find an electronic ignition conversion kit, for my tractor. Having troubles getting it started sometimes. Was told they are cold blooded creatures, and if you get the plugs flooded just a bit, either remove them and clean them up entirely, or just replace them. Has new condensor, points, and picked up a new distributor cap and rotor. Will also replace plug wires. Had thoughts of trying a differant coil, before hearing about a possible kit. Suggestion was to start here, possibly even finding a site with these. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Vince

Check the wear on the distributor shaft/housing. That can cause problems on these older tractors by not letting the points keep the same dwell.

Is the housing a part of the block, or bushing, or part of the distributor shaft assembly itself?

If this is the problem, what is the solution for fixing?

Vince,
I got a 6 volt positive ground system from the guys below. Worked great until some idiot (me) accidently hooked it up to 12 volts.
Give them a call, they can give you the info you need.
