Hi,On the Cletrac website I saw pictures of an HG crawler with a model A transmission added before the main tranny. This would be nice to be able to have the option to change gearing. My crawler has a loader and backhoe and would work better if I could gear it lower. Does anyone have any info on this installation? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave

HPOCA magazine did a "how to" article on this installation. I think that membership and a back issue charges would be a bargin if you want to do this installation. There is more than one way to do the clutch housing. The stock one can be modified or make a new one like in the HPOCA article.

We brought home an OC3 with loader one time and it had an extra transmission in front of the main transmission. We did not have it long enough to play with it much so don't know how well it worked.

can't help with your question but just last week found an old Cletrac with a Model A engine and what looked like exactly what you ask about...two shift levers--maybe an aux transmission ahead of the Cletrac tranny? I'm a newbie on such; owner wanted $3000 for the crawler, located W of Salem OR What I saw suggests someone has worked it out already.Keep trying. PC
