Found these for sale. Both run well. Both have hydraulic blades. The 11E has winch, but someone stole starter. Pull starts well. The 11B has very low hours on engine rebuild, however it has a tendency to pop out of 1st gear under load. Will a starter be hard to find? I've been told the popping out of gear is a fairly easy fix...true? The guy wants $8000 for the pair. Is that a reasonable fair market price? All input greatly appreciated.

The 11e with the starter gone is a good machine. A delco 24V starter will possibly run 3-4 hundred dollars, buy a new one and avoid the core charge on a reman if possible. The 11b with the 1st gear problem is not easily repaired if done properly, the teeth on the gear have worn on a taper and will continue to jump out. The gear should be replaced, but if it is not badly worn it could be ground with a back cut to hold it in place, the gear it meshes with must be ground or replaced as well. If all else fails hold it with a tarp strap. The $8000 is fair!
