Found at a tractor dealer in Eugene, Or,on consignment, an OLIVER crawler; had OLIVER in large letters on back of operator seat..NO evidence it was an Oliver-Cletrac of any description; had massive hydr mount hdw with tilt bucket /loader on front end; ID plate on hydr controls read OLIVER LOADER, maybe NOT an after-market installaton? narrow pads on tracks; tool box on LH side of operator seat, battery box & hydr reservoir on RH side; two shift levers, one larger than the other....two speed tranny? or was there such ever? Due to hydr mounting arms and enclosed engine panels, no ID or serial # could be located.
Manager had no info on model # or year of production, said owner wanted $3500 FIRM; crawler had been used in construction to excavate for basements, foundations, etc.
Not much info to go on, I know. Can anyone suggest model # or year of manufacture? Thanks. PC

Could be an OC 12 from the early 50's. How many top and bottom rollers are there. What is the centre to centre distance of the tracks? Can you E-mail a picture?

Bob: I am 70 miles from location of the crawler, just happened to see it as I drove by yesterday. I expect to be back down that hiway in early June and will check out items you asked about. Lot mgr guessed production year was late 50s or early 60s. For what it is worth, I noted generator and starter were on right side of the engine (gas). (Mgr did not know how many cylinders or model of the engeine.) On my OC3 starter and generator are on left side of the engine (4 cycle Herc, IXB)PC

If that time frame is correct, there are only 3 options, an OC4 or OC 46 which are a little larger than the OC 3 and weigh about 7000 lbs with loader. The OC 4 is older, and had no top roller and 4 bottom. The OC46 was upgraded and had 1 top roller and 5 bottom rollers. The next is and OC 96 made from 59 to 64 had one top roller and 4 bottom rollers a little larger at 9000lbs. Not that many of these were made. The next is the OC 12 at 12500 lbs with loader with 2 top rollers and 5 bottom rollers. It is about the same size as a JD 350.

Bob: Info shared is helpful; next time I drive by the lot will check out based on specs you sent.
