I set up my 2" pump today to pump out of my pond and through a fire hose, bell reducer, and then a 1-1/2" fire hose nossle. It sure makes cleaning tracks a lot easier!! Maybe now i'll keep them clean instead of always putting that job off! It doesn't hurt to have a helper around either!! :) Robert

When i worked the oil patch our dozers use to get real muddy and i got real tired of shovelen tracks and one day i had one of the water trucks there with me and told him to go and suck up a load of fresh water and we pressured up the tank to 20 lbs and went from a 4 inch down to and inch and a half man you can't believe what 90 barrels of water and just 20 lbs will do never shoveled a track after that.

Keep that setup going Robert, if you can wash the tracks near the pond you'll not waste any water either. If you keep the tractor in side you will be supprised how little you need to clean up now.

Hey Bob, I have 3 bigger spring fed ponds, and the water they produce makes a fairly nice stream winding through and leaving my farm, so i don't have to worry about wasteing water. I have a 4" pump that i some times irrigate with, and i was going to set it up to wash tracks with, but the little 2" pump puts out plenty of water!! I was surprised just how much pressure it built up through that nozzle!! I'l bet it will easily shoot 40'!! I'll keep it handy, and use it often now that i have it figured out! It should be handy keeping my other equipment clean too! :) Robert

If you have that much water you can place the rack anywhere, idealy in a place where the silt can be contained. Nice to have all that water I know some people that need some right now. the shop looks good too.
