I have a john Deere 750 dozer that the engine starts and runs good for a few seconds and something in hydraulics loads up and kill the engine. Let it set a few minutes and it will start up and do the same again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. bigcer

A 750 has an open center gear pump driven off the splitter box....are you sure it is a parisitioc load stalling the engine and not an injection pump problem that is causing it to stall ??? Try loosening the timing window on the side of the injection pump to let fuel leak out...it is on the side of the pump attached with 2 slotted screws...If the engine runs with the screws loosened and fuel leaking out , then the injection pump is in need of replacement/rebuild....Can you drive it forward and reverse before it stalls ??

A JD 750 will have a lever to releace the engine clutch I think on the right side. pull it and start the engine. If the engine runs you have a problem in one of the hydrstats. To see whitch one you will need to disconect the drive lines under the floor. unhook them both run it and let thd clutch engage the hyd pump is on the gear box behind the engine. hook up one drive line at a time to see whitch hydrostat is out. Has it got the big, round radial piston pump driven off the front of the crankshaft? If so its got the constant pressure hydraulic system and you've got a problem with your unloading valve, your gonna need a service manual.
