I have a A/C model M with a glazed turning brake one side only. It is not oil soaked. I saw my dad put talcum power in the break area a long time ago, has any one herd of this, or can give me another idea before I tear it apart. Thanks

Try Comet (scouring powder) it works. Caterpillar used to sell it under their part number. It was used for glazed brakes and sparingly dusted into the air intake to help seat piston rigs on a slobbering engine.

Thats usually what someone puts in when it is oil soaked, I cant see it helping a glazed brake band.
