I am in the middle of trying to bring this crawler loader back to life. It has been sitting for approx 10 years.Luckily the engine turned and after bypasssing the old fuel line and filter with a temporary line and new fuel it seems that the pump is not putting new fuel through it. I have cleaned out the internal intake screen. cracked open the injector lines, but still no fuel coming to them. engine turns over fine with new batteries. I opened the return line on top of the pump and put new fuel in it, left it open and turned engine over and it started pumping new fuel out. lines from pump to injectors are clear, but no fuel coming to them. I have even tried pushing fuel through the pump with 45lbs. of air pressure, but still no fuel. Will i have to send it off to a fuel shop to have it checked? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU.

What type of pump is on this thing? If it is a rotary type (roosa-master) the transfer pump in the injection pump may need repair(vanes). Take it off and send it in. If it is an inline type, I have seen the fuel control racks sieze in the shutdown position, meaning that you can push all the fuel in the world into it, but it will just circulate through the open port in the barrel in the pump and return to tank. If this is a Simms pump, you could remove the side cover and free up the rack; if it is most any other type of inline pump the governor section will need to be opened up to free up the rack. This is something not normally considered to be a "field repair" and will require removal and shipment to pump repair shop. Good luck, and wait a while to see what a few others have to offer.

GREG. Thank you for your reply. It is a roosa-master pump. When you say it is the transfer pump does this mean it can be checked seperate or do i need to send in the entire injection pump?
