I have a pair of rams that operate the blade on my TD9 dozer. When I lower the blade, the ram on the right always moves first, and moves the blade down about 6 inches before the left ram starts moving. When I raise the blade, same thing, the right ram starts movig first. They are hooked up to the same supply line....neither leaks. Bad seal in the left one?

Thanks!

Jim P

Which cylinder gets hotter faster? That will tell you which one is leaking for when the oil bypasses in the leaking cylinder, the oil will heat up fast. (Old Case 580 troubleshooting trick).

Hey Jim, if possible remove and plug lines going to right cyl. (lines only not cylinder) and see if the left cylinder will work blade by itsself, I'll bet your diagnosis is right or possibly piston has come loose on the rod.
