I am having a problem the torque converter seal keeps blowing oil out after 10 minutes of replacing it I don't have a shop manual and can't find one. If anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it let me know
Thankyou Larry

Larry,

I have a manual to my 500C, if you thnik it would help, I can e-mail the appropriate sections dealing with the torque-converter. The manual talks about carefully checking the run-out as Jim said in his post.

If you are using the correct seal sheck the pressures to see if they are too high. also have found that some guys do not get the shims bac in the front of the engine to shim it correct - check the runout asmay need shim under front mount or may not be cenetered. As far as manuals check with locall Komatsu dealer as they have purchased the account from dresser who bought out IH. If cant find let me know as I have manuals at work.

it takes special high preasure seals..if you havent used the high preasure seals that may be the problem, if you have then i would say there is something else wrong.possibly a bad bearing ?
