I just had to brag about my lil dozer,,its a JD 430C I bought it and 2 farmall tractors at the same time for 1000.00$ The dozer had a seized engine and we free'd it up with some oil, a block of wood and a big hammer. I just cannot believe how tough this lil guy is,,anyone else out there have one of these? anyone know the years and amount made???Thanks

I have the 420C which is pretty similar.
430C's built from 1958 to 1960, 2,287 of them were made, serial #'s between 140001 and 161096.
They lumped the crawler serial #'s in with all the other 430's, i.e. no separate s/n's for the crawlers. Good luck getting yours fixed up. I like these tough little dozers. Deere built up a huge billion dollar construction equipment empire on these little dozers.

Mine has the single handle hydraulic control, for the blade lift. they came with either single or dual hydraulic valve. sounds like yours is the single one like mine. the dual one, you could work the blade lift with one handle and an auxiliary cylinder (such as for a 3-point ) with the other. good luck, Jim
