What is involved in replacing the steering clutches on a 1969 JD 450 dozer and approximately how much should it cost?

It's quite an involved job, remove ROPS if you have one, drain hyd. oil, take some hoses loose, linkage, battery cable to get tanks off outta the way, break both tracks, remove sprockets, etc. Personally I charge $1000 labor to do both sides, aftermarket parts prices as best I can remember, fiber clutches @ $25 each takes a total of 12 I think for both sides, metal plates @ $13 each takes 10???, pressure plates $75 each x 2, throw-out bearing $20 x 2 and brake bands @ $100 each x 2, (you can have brake bands relined at a considerable savings if you have a place close that does that sort of thing), and a misc. seal here and there 'bout $20, so where does that put us I havent been counting??? LOL
