I have a 76 450 C I noticed a crack in the bell housing at the top t runs back to where the clutch is and the goes down . All the bolts are tight I was wondering what would cause this. it does have a winch on the back. It doesnt seem to get worse should i be concerned and can it be welded inthe machine.

Check the frame rails. They loosen up and also crack back by where they mount onto the finals!! Also, at middle cross member. Got one here we just fixed we couldn't get to the crack to weld it, so cleaned it, V it out, and epoxied it. Now we will watch and keep fingers crossed!!
