Howdy I just discovered this forum.....I posed a question about accessing the blocker valves on my tractor without splitting the tractor and getting into the bell housing. Does anyone know of a way to access the blocker valves from the outside (under the steering box??? or something??) I hear a gummed up blocker valve could cause the symptoms that my tractor has. It pauses for about 10 seconds every time the power reversing trans is shifted into forward/reverse. If you get in there and clean out the pistons and springs of the blocker valve that COULD make a difference in shifting.....I dunno Does anyone have any experience with this??? Any ideas why my tractor hesitates when shifting forward/reverse???? Of course I have cked oil level. thanks baron

You might try this post on the Ford Board. I have a 4500 but not a power reversing. You should consider a shop manual if you do not have one. good luck
