Hydraulic Leak

I recently purchased a JD 450 crawler loader and had it moved to the farm over the weekend.
Since this is my first time operating, there sure is a learning curve.

I have a lot more respect for all the good operators out there. It isn't as easy as it looks.
I was clearing the old hog pasture, and it now looks like an artillery range with all the holes where I pushed out the cedar trees. Oh well, maybe I'll get better with time.
I seem to have problems picking up the trees to move them also.
My problem is that there is a hydraulic oil leak I think where the hoses go to the radiator to cool.
Can I replace this hose by dropping the shielding underneath, or do I have to pull the hard nose.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Maybe I can get copies of the procedure from the John Deere dealer or break down and buy the service manual.

Phil

you can try accessing the area by just dropping the belly pan. Even with the nose piece removed getting to those lines can be a challenge, but sometimes it has to be removed. The hydraulic pump pressure and suction lines run through there as well as the transmission cooler lines. They are clamped in that area and a lot of times the clamp wears a hole in one of the steel tubes with age ....be ready to use all the bad language you know and scrape a few knuckles.
