Ed here again with that same IH3200B skid steer. Any clues on why the unit doesn't seem to be able to turn even 90° without giving it a rest to let the motor catch back up again? It didn't have this problem during the test drive (of course), but certainly does now that I own it. It runs REALLY rough now too - I'm sure that's related. I've changed the plugs and wires, and installed a new fuel pump. That helped slightly, but I still have the problem. Perhaps it's time for a carb rebuild?

I have had a couple of these machines. the first thing that comes to mind is, does it have the right engine in it>>?? I installed a ole wisconsin bailer engine in my 3200, it was a VF4D, the proper engine is a VH4D. the bailer engine wouldnt run the machine, found out it was almost 20 HP less . another thing it could be is the carburator. starveing for fuel. another possibility is a tired engine.. something else it could be is your opening the controle valves too far too fast.

My 3200 B was acting the same way and a carb rebuild helped alot. A Fuel filter are also a very important thing to have as for these carbs can't take much debris befor they become cloged. The fuel mixture screw in top of the carb must also be set correctly or the motor will over heat easily if (to lean) and shut down. Though my motor is tired and burns oil it still has the power to do alot of work and one just needs one to aquire a touch for the controls, quick hydrostatic drive valve moves with cold oil will stall you easily.
