I bought a 9400jd backhoe that was removed from a 400jd Industrial Tractor, that I want to use on my 806IH with Loader.
{now the Problem} When I bought the Hoe I did't consider the differant hydraulic types {open center- closed center} of the two machines{BONE HEADED move huh} soooo I'm looking for help and suggestions on a Pressure Compinsating pump that I can drive off the PTO {540 or 1000} that will provide 28gpm@2350psi. output to run the Hoe.
I could run to the dealer and get a OEM pump and mount that to the Hoe frame, make a PTO shaft, but the pump will only run @ 50% RPM. Is there a BETTER soulution, Sugestions???

Thank You!!
Dave

Is there by chance an exit plug on the return side of the control valves? If there is not, you might find a knowledgeable person in your area that is familar with hydraulics that could be able to drill and tap a return line on your existing valve body and install a relief valve setup on the pressure side. Depending on who made the valve body, there are end caps on sandwich set up that can be switch out for making them closed or open.

...Or maybe search around for a valve that came out of a backhoe intended to mount onto a dozer...as those are open center hydraulics...a JD 9350 ??? maybe ...there are others also...
