I live in southern west virginia where are you located. My sprocket, idlers, bottons rollers are in good shape the top rollers have some slack when you move them up and down with a pry bar but they turn just fine.there dosn't seem to be much ajustment left on the track.the pin have slack in them.grouser are fine if i had you to do this would it be best for me to remove the grouser and ship the rails to you.i don't know any place close to me that does the re-pin and bushing.can you still buy the 2 bolt chain complete new and what would be the cost.

Gearmatic was considered an Allied Aftermarket Supplier, meaning they were certified by Deere as a supplier of attachments for use on Deere equipment. Deere did not offer a factory winch until the 1010's came out.

I am refering to The John Deere Pocket Notebook for Contractors and Loggers 1st Edition (1958) and on page 30 it pictures a winch on a 430/440 crawler. So it must have been offered as an option.

Yes, they were an option, but they were dealer installed options. There is an advertising brochure that shows a bunch of the Allied Aftermarket Equipment, and you would not believe the different things that were available for them back then.
