Moving an OC-3 from Oregon to Louisiana, Need names and phones of shippers known to be very reasonable. Also moving a 300 pound motor from Ohio to Louisiana, Who's the cheapest carriers??? Any help is very much appreciated. Glen

go left to the hauling schedule.post what you want.it may take a while but someone will reply. an individual making a trip back with an empty trailer will be alot cheaper than a commercial carrier,

Interstate trucking is still a semi-regulated industry, with all the pecularitities that government commerce regulations bring. The price you pay for shipping the motor may depend strongly on what you call it on the bill of lading.

Judging from my past experiences, calling it "used tractor parts" may get you a lower freight rate than "crawler engine", at least with a carrier like Yellow, Fed-Ex Freight, etc.

Glen, Tollefsrud Trucking just picked up 3 JD crawlers at my place going to IA, Dean was very professional. I don't know about rates, but I would certainly recommend them. (I'm in s/w MS)
