I was looking at a Case 1845C to buy but have seen alot of 1840 for sale, what is the different between a 1840 and 1845C. What bobcat is like these models.I have no experience with ether machine and wondering which would be better to buy a bobcat or case? What would a fair price be for a 1845c 1994 with 1670 hrs, deisel with new paint over all condition pretty good, tires about 25%.
Thank's Jim

Personally I'm partial to the Bobcat's, but Case makes an excellent skid-steer as well, the 1840 is just a size smaller than 1845, I dont have any info. on Case but I think the 1845 is as large as Case makes so it would most likely compare to the 863/873 Bobcat, 1840 probably 763/773 B/C. Thats not alot of hours for a '94 model so it will bring a pretty good price, if I had it for sale I would ask $11,500 with a new set of tires, mabye Nat will chime in he has a 863 B/C and I think he has had an 1845 he will be able to tell you more about how they compare.

I've had 1845c and they're a good machine, has the case 4-390 engine, same as the 1840, the 1840 is 1000 lbs lighter than the 1845c'c6800lbs. the 1845 has mechanical bucket leveler which is great 1845c is 6 in wider and 6 in longer wheelbase than the 1840. 863 bobcat is 7500 lbs and 75 hp, vs. the case 68 hp and 6800lbs, all good machines, luck Nat

Since your talking about a 1845C does anyone know what type of hydraulic fluid it takes and where I can purchase a manual? I use ours for feeding livestock and cleaning out corrals and this machine works great. Thanks
