My trow-out bearings slide on the bearing carrier loosly, is this correct or should they be pressed on? Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim in Oregon

The actual throw out bearing should have to be pressed on to the carrier although it doesn't take much I usually pop them together in a bench vise, but the T.O. bearing and carrier assembly should slide freely on the pipe they ride on inside the housing.

They should slide relatively easily...as thats how you want them to release the pressure plate ...

Oops!! The crawler I'm working on is a straight JD 350. The throw-out bearings slide on the bearing carrier loosely, is this correct or should they be pressed on?
Thanks for any info.
