Hey folks I got a propane forklift I'm working on, engine oil on dipstick just a little milky not enough to think anything cracked or blown, I did take the valve cover off and found puddles of clear water on top of the head and inside of valve cover looked nasty, what can be done to cure/prevent this? It's kept inside a heated warehouse.

Somewhere in the last few months, I read the specification that it takes an oil temperature of something like 140 degrees, for 30 minutes to remove condensation from the oil in an engine. That would seem hard to do in an occasional use forklift, so not sure what to tell you other than change the oil a little more often.

Is the crank case breather working correctly?
It could be an atmospheric vent or a positive vent.
If atmospheric make sure it is not clogged---wash it out good in solvent. If it is a PCV take it off and either replace it or shake it to make sure the ball is free. Make sure the hoses are OK.
If the vent is OK it may just not be getting hot enough, either from little use and short runs or a thermostat problem.
If is is just not being run enough a crank case heater would help.
