I usually don't either due to the computer being my wife's, I just get to use it noe and again. I really appreciate the info on this thing I guess I will have to keep it. I bought it together with a partner and he wants to sell it so I will buy him out and keep it. We have agreed on a figure for his half and it won't cost me very much to get the whole thing. I heard from a reliable source that about 2 previous owners back, that it was sold for $1,000.00 to the one we bought it from. However I don't understand that, since other than 3 pins on the left side it appearsd to be in perfect shape, does not use oil, cranks w/o ether in the coldest weather, hydraulics will stand it up on its end at anytime, if you hook it down to a stump either the stump comes out or it pulls the machine to the stump, the story I got was the fellow saw it leaking water from the pump and got excited and sold it to the guy we bought it from. Contact me and we will compare notes. Henry

Marlowe, don't feel bad about getting older I turned 50 today and feel exactly the same as I did at 49,rough. Seriously, Thank you for this information about the 450, I don't suppose you could tell me some strong and weak points you noticed about yours before its unfortunate end. I had the opportunity to purchase this one about September and with all I have had to do I have not been able to do much with it other than go over it and check it out. Thank you, Henry

$2500.00, But I have spent about $800.00 more on water pump, pins and bushings,(had to buy some close and turn them to fit) rebuild dipperstick cyl, and have the bucket cylinder piston re-machined. The only thing concerns me is the availability of parts for things such as the swing gears and the rings for the swivel coupling. I like it and I think it will serve my purpose which is to keep my D-7 out of wire in fence rows. I have replaaced final drive bearings in the 7 2 out of the last 3 years due to wire, so as you are well aware the cost of the 450 is well below what a final job would be. I would like to stay in contact with you about this machine since it appears we have some of the same things in common
and we might be able to help each other. Thank You
again, Henry
