I have a friend who has a Case loader (450 I think), with a David Brown motor. He needs a crankshaft.

Post on the Case board, ask for Elmer, if he doesn't have one he'll know where to get one. See if you can find a (engine) casting number too, if it's an AD/54 then all you need to know is if it's turbo or not and the diameter of the main journals. Crank kit with bearings ran me $799.00 on a turbo. About $599 w/o. Real important to know as the turbo cranks can only turn .020 and the non turbo can be turned .030 (long story on how I know this).

is this a crawler loader? or wheel loader? if it's a crawler it might be a 455 gray market a dealer over here has one on the lot. other then that the 450 had 188 or 207 case and the later had cummins. never saw a 450 with a DB but then any thing is possible. try to find a little more info. on it if you can

I had 850 gray market in to work on several years ago , it had DB engine . If Iremember it was the same engine as 990 farm tractor . It was crawler loader , looked very much like us made 850 , but front idler bracket bolt holes were spaced different , operators compartment much more difficult to get in that us made . Owner had been to dealer to get filters and head gasket , dealer told him it couldn't be. HAHA I did the engine #'s and sent him to AG dealer for the engine parts . got US ft wheel and milled the holes to fit . recommend you don't come home with one of those tractors
