I am looking at a Fiat Allis 8b for sale locally (Central Kentucky). It has a straight blade plus a V blade. It seems to look good from the pic but I was wondering if anyone out there knows about these crawlers problems, pluses, etc. it has a 6 cyl, turbo Iveco eng and power shift. I have a case 350 now which I am selling in the classifieds so I can get something bigger
Thanks

I dont know the 8B in particular but have been around a FL8, FD7, and an 11B, overall they seem to be a good piece of equipment, resale value is nil, the same guy had the FL8 and FD7 bought a trackhoe and sold the 8, the 7 he bought with a bad engine, cheeep, I rebuilt the engine and since then the tranny as well but has been a very good dozer since, they shoehorn that seems like 6 foot long engine in there makes things hard to work on.
