The blade on my 420 won't stay up anymore. It will sink to the ground in only a few seconds, except once in a while it will stay up longer when the cylinders are retracted all the way. It's been working fine until the last two days. There are no apparent leaks and the resevoir is full. TIA

Did you ever solve the problem of your 420C blade not staying up? I have the same problem with mine. I don't find any nylon ball in my hydraulics, just a steel ball, which I replaced and nothing changed.

Probably a cylinder ram packing gone BUT. If you have a single-spool control valve (one spool controls the blade lift hydraulics) you may also have a little nylon check ball in the control valve. When they begin to crumble all sorts of things can happen, like rupturing a pump when they migrate to the wrong spot. Unless you can isolate the problem soon by blocking up the blade and plugging the cylinders one at a time, don't use it much.
