THE VERY FIRST THING TO CHECK IS YOUR CHARGE PRESSURE, THERE IS A PUMP IN THE TRANS THAT FEEDS THE FRONT PUMP. PRESS SHOULD BE AROUND 2OO OR MORE. THE PRESSURE RELIEF NEEDS TO BE CHECKED AND ALSO THE STROKE CONTROL VALVE FOR PROPER OPERATION AND FOR CONTAMINATION. DID YOU FLUSH THE SYSTEM OUT INCLUDING THE OIL COOLER? MANY PEOPLE DON'T DO THIS AND THEY ARE IN THE SAME BOAT VERY SOON AGAIN..... ...RANDY

First...was the original pump rebuilt ? or was it a new pump ??? usually the pumps on 410C's are not rebuildable after failure...I've seen quite a few in this condition...so if it was rebuilt, I would seriously check into that..Piston bores are usually egg shaped and will not take a new piston for long... Also make sure the pump drive is connected correctly and something wasn't left loose...The large suction hose that runs from the bottom of the transmission to the pump has a habit of getting crushed and should be inspected...And as far as the power to the solenoid on the pump....It should only be energized when the engine is cranking over to start....it prevents the pump from building pressure while cranking...

Hi,

The pump is new, as you said the other wasn't able to be rebuilt. They had the pump checked today and it is pumpimg 22 gallons a minute at a thousand pounds of pressure until they loaded it up and then it dropped to 0. Our parts supplier is says it is not the pump... our mech is saying it is. We are intending to check pressure in the transmission tommorrow before they send in their mech. last time they sent someone they broke our camshaft which we had to pay for and have someone else put in and a bill for 350. We have had problems in the past from the pulley shearing pins. this should have stopped with the new crankshaft, pin and pulley. You can see the pump shaft turning with no indication of trouble. Anymore help is qreatly app.

The charge pump in a 410C is mounted in front of the main hydraulic pump. Its actually part of the complete pump assembly...its not in the transmission....this is in fact a 410C correct ??? At an idle, with no functions operating, the standby pressure should be approx 2500 to 2700 psi...you can put a cap/plug in the main pressure line to plug the pump output to eliminate an internal leak as the cause....make sure you plug only the high pressure outlet. The charge pump is a gear pump and cant be capped...If the pressure is good with the pressure line capped, then the problem is elsewhere....after the pump, the oil flows to a priority valve that gives steering a preferance over loader operation, if there is a problem in there , then that may cause your woes...Internet diagnosing is not always the easiest ..

sounds to me like you got a bad pump or something slipping in driveline going to it...its not unusual to have new parts go out after a short time.
something else to consider is why was pump replaced to start with? did last pump fail? there may have been metal shavings or chunks of gear in system if the previous pump cratered...a thorough flushing and or replacement of all rubber lines is the only way to make sure all metal shavings are removed from system...it only takes one chunk of gear floating around in there to ruin your whole day.
good luck
