I don't know if a 350 is that much different than a 450 but I just removed a brake band from my 450 through the top of the clutch housing. I had to remove the battery box, seat and fuel tank (I was working on the left side), then the top cover of the clutch housing. There is was a brake return spring attached to the housing cover which had to be detached during removal. Also the cover had locating pins requires it come staight up. There were 3 tapped holes which took 5/16 bolts, as I tightened them down they lifted the cover. I then had to dismantle the brake actuating linkage and another return spring in the bottom of the clutch housing. The band then rotated out. I had it rebonded and then reinstalled in reverse order. Re-attaching those springs is all kinds of fun but it can be done. I hope this helps, Good luck.

You have to remove the final drive assembly to remove the brake band.. The friction material is usually riveted and/or bonded chemically to the steel brake band...
