I think I have a manual at the farm that has a laoder made for the 40 crawler that was made by this company you are referring to.

I realize this is quite a while later but...
I have one of those GSC Loaders on my JD 40C and am having problems with the Hydro control unit. Possibly a stuck pressure relief valve?
I'd really appreciate getting a copy of that manual or schematics of the unit if anybody has them. Sources of parts? Thanks

The company made and refurbished railroad box cars, among doing other things. There is quite a bit of information regarding Greenville Steel Car Company that can be accessed via an internet search.

Greenville Steel Car Company was located in Greenville, PA and was purchased by Trinity Industries of Dallas, Texas in the mid 80's. Trinity Industries is the largest builder of railroad cars in the US. Greenville Steel Car primarly made railroad cars ie. coal hoppers, gondolas etc. I had some coal hoppers built in the Greenville Shops in the early 90's. However I think the shop is closed now.
