We are currently restoring a 1951(or 53)petrol Howard Platypus Crawler. Does anyone have any information or photos regarding this model? Help would be appreciated.

Platypus crawlers were made from around 1950-56 roughly. Most had Perkins engines though some had others.
There are some manuals available for them.
Hope this helps. Manny

Hi, Andrew. I have at least one, possibly two photos of a Platypus, not sure whether petrol or diesel, and I think I may have a little information hidden deep in the bowels of my computer too. Send me an e-mail and I'll see what I can dig up.

You may also want to contact Plough Book Sales in Melbourne, Australia regarding one or more of the Crawler Tractor Scrapbooks 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 as some of them have info on the Platypus. (See link below.)

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
