I am trying to find out if anyone knows if it is possible (with a simple shop, some steel, torches and welders) to fit a 6 way blade on a 8b fiat. It currently has a manual 4 way with the frame outside the tracks. The frame is 93 inches wide. I know some of the 1150 cases have outside 6 ways does anyone know their dimensions? The reason i want to do this is there are no 6 way blades for an 8b anywhere I have looked and this tractor seems to be in exceptional shape. The dozer has a 2 way valve and has 2 lines plumbed to the front in addition to the lift cyl. It also has a valve that is plumbed to the back for aux hyd. The straight section on the c frame is 66 inches long from the front of the mount to the tractor to the begining of the first turn to go infront of the tractor. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you settle for a straight blade with hydraulic tilt? If you can i beleive IMAC may have a kit with the tilt cylinder and ball joints to make it a straight blade with tilt. Ive run a D5B with a straight blade for years. Youd have to build the sldes like a case has for the power angle and then mount the balljoints and cylinder for the tilt. If it were mine id leave the manual angle and put in a hydraulic tilt. Ive run several Caterpillars like that they had different positions to bolt the tilt cylinders and braces in for the angle.

IMAC? who are they? Do you have a number or address? i really do need power angle too for grading etc. I don't know if I could get along without it cause I sure like it on the dozer I have now. The blade that is on it now is a clearing blade so it is kinda small for pushing dirt. Thanks

I have IMACs Number here some where. is the clearing blade a narrow dirt blade or is it a grubbing blade with the teeth. Are you looking for a wider finish blade? meassure the width of the trunion pins on the trac frame and ill measure a few at the salvage yard to find out.

The blade is a four way manual it is about 120 inches by 27 inches. No teeth just a cutting edge.
