I have a 1957 420c it has two hydraulic remotes 1 for blade and other for rear hydraulics. My hydraulic holding tank is directly in front of my brake pedal, I just overhauled the engine and changed fluids including hydraulic oil, my problem is I keep getting water in hydraulic oil I drained both cylinders and all hoses and holding tank. It is stored inside and can not get rain or snow in it where is it coming from?

I get it too,, maybe it has something to do with the rag mine has stuffed in the fill hole lol,,or the fact that I use it in mud and snow a lot lol,,,Just change it from time to time. I change mine when it looks more like water then oil...Hay JD in da UP, how ya doing,, we hit almost 60 here today,, Thank God for spring lol,,,Jim

Water in the hydraulic fluid makes the oil look milky. Is that what you're getting? If so, it's common and comes from the atmosphere. That's why we're instructed to change fluid every so often.
