450 Case Dozer

I have a early 70's 450 case dozer with a 188 cid Diesel Engine, Was wondering what the convertor pressure and temp should be. Thanks DOUG

The convertor out pressure at the regulator is 35-55(on the convertor) and your transmission pressure is 225-260 psi. Most temps should be around 100 degrees F over ambient so if its 80 outside the trans temp should be around 180. Don't give to much faith in the temp guage on the dash for those were'nt the most accuate. Also, depending how you use it also depends on how high the temps go. If you do a lot of short push and then reverse, the temps should stay low where if you push a long distance or pull a heavy load the temps will go real high. Hope this helps.
