Cat engine????

Hi
Feller said he had an engine that would fit cat 12 grader thought it was 8T. Went and looked today and it is a lot bigger I think the Ser # started with 3R should have wrote it down. He said it came out of cotton gin. It has 5 3/4 bore and 6inch stroke and the pony engine is mounted on left side looking from rear of engine .Can someone tell me what if any dozer this will fit Thanks for your help Bill

Bill, if it's a4 cyl it's a D7 engine and if it's a 6cyl it's a D8 engine.Fuel settings and attachments might be different but the basic engine is the same.
