what are the recoil spring dimensions for a 955k 71j1200.we have one broken & a friend has 2 springs but doesnt know if they are the proper ones.

Jim, without a new one I can't say how long it should be, but since you need to get the bolt, plate and pilot from the old one, fit the pieces together and measure it, then compare to what your friend has. I guess you know that recoil springs can be dangerous to disassemble and assemble. If you are not used to doing this get someone to do it for you that is. I will look up the length you need to compress it to for assembley into the frame and post it for you.
