I am a 2nd year student at the University Of Cincinnati. We are attempting to make a small garden dozer for our sophmore project. We are missing one key part and that is the dimensions of 22 tooth #55 Agicultural chain cast iron sprocket. I've looked for hours for on the internet for the dimensions but I still can not locate them. If your group can be of assistance it would be great.

Thanks, Jeff Caudill

Does the sprocket have to be cast? If not a local machin shop especially a school machine shop could make a set in a mill, My teacher showed me how our CNC mill had a program to figure a sprocket if ou punched in the pich and diameter of the chain and diameter of the sprocket. 2 and a half hours later we were putting 2 sprockets on his paver.

I believe you can consult the Machinery handbook. This is the proper name for a specific general machine shop reference book, see this link: http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/prod.cgi?cpid=501772&domain_id=1856&meta_id=1

The dimensions must be calculated based on pitch, and the number of teeth.
