I have a 350BJD dozer and a JD450 Loader. I got the loader adjusted nicely but I notice there does not seem to be a side cover plate on the 350_B to adjust the brake band like there is on the 450.

Could someone tell me the procedure for adjusting the steering clutches and brake band for the 350-B?

Does that mean that there is no side cover plate for the brake band? I don't see any. Guess I need to uncover the top and see what's in there.

On the JD450 there are two set screws under the top covers and one..the brake band bolt down on the side. Are there three under the top covers on the 350-B?

Yes all the adjustments to a 350 is made thru the top cover, you will have a free travel adj., timing adj., (sets how quick you want brake band to come on) and the brake band adj. is under there.

There's plates on each side under the seat on the 350's, pretty much the same procedure to adjust as the 450's, leave yourself just a hint of free travel in the lever, before the throw out bearing contacts the presure plate., then adjust brake band to start coming on at about the middle of the lever travel, just make sure the brake is not applying fully before the clutches are released, you can tell when you operate it.
