I have a case 580ck (1970) backhoe I just got. my manual says use diesel fuel conditioner. Is this still something being used or was that just back with old types of fuel? Thanks! Jim

If it sits alot, a fuel conditioner is
a prudent investment... :)

I use Pri-D in my big tank.

Other than that, if you are using red diesel
(hi sulphur) you are fine.

Keep in mind that NOT all "red" diesel is high sulfer. Around here when they deliver the fuel, a packet of dye goes in for red, and "not" for taxable road fuel. It's all the same fuel. When i lived in Alaska they did the same thing there too. It ALL came out of the same bulk tank! Robert
