JD 310 B Backhoe been leaking Hydro fluid finally found where but confused.
Under floor plate, left side on top of the rear,
there is a small fitting with no hose attached,
leaking alot of fluid out of it making a real mess.
What is it and should it be connected to something?
Need help on this one, thanks.

Jonathan, when your sitting in the seat, on the left side a little back, when that section of floor panel is removed, it is right there staring you in the face. The fluid (alot) is just ozzing out when backhoe is off (but after working it for some hours so warm, didn't check it cold and just sitting yet. Started it up to see what happens under pressure but ozzing was just the same.) The readings on the hydro/trans dip stick keep getting lower, so I know I am loosing just to much fluid out of that small fitting.
It looks to me also like either a bleeder or breather but ain't sure what. It has to be either tightened or hosed because to much fluid is lost and boy is it making a mess all underneath the backhoe and the ground. Wouldn't put it on my driveway this weekend.
Don't know what else to tell you. Just need to know what it is and what to do with it. I'm sure the way it is now is not normal or something is wrong, correct? Thanks

Jonathan, I went to the JD dealer this afternoon.
They told me yes it is a bleeder screw and to take it out clean then tighten back up.
Will do this and hope that solves the problem.
So letting you know you were on the right track.
Thanks again.
