Help with ID of Cat.

Ran across an old Cat dozer. I looked in my "Endless Tracks In The Woods" book, didnt see it.

It has a 6 cyl. diesel with a 2 cyl. pony motor.
Gas tank for the pony motor is located up high near radiator.
Pony motor is on left side.
There is a lever with 3 positions on it to the right of the pony motor. Start-Run-Stop, I think.
Valve cover is two pieces, 3 cyl. each.

It has the frame for a cab.
Seat is bench type.
Main fuel tank is behind seat.

It has a cable winch on the back. Cable runs up and thru a channel to the front of the dozer.
The cable lifts the dozer blade.
The mounting frame for the blade is bowed around the front and is attached amidship w/pins.

Closes thing it looks like is a Model 60.
But I am not sure. This is a BIG dozer.

Any ideas ?

When I get a chance I will take my camera and get some pics if it would help. It may be for sell.
I dont want it, but thought someone here might.

D8,--Sounds like an 8R or maybe a 2U model,
Should be a ser.# on back to the left of where winch is mounted.
So where's this old beast located ?

Yup, It is a D-8.
Owner says he may sell it this summer.
It is about 20 miles west of Ann Arbor, Mich.
