Can Anyone tell me what kind of lubricant to use in the transmision. It's pretty low now but it has a real light weight oil in it. Thanks, Gary

Hi, Gary. It just might help if you were to say whether it is a manual - "stick-shift" - or a power-shift transmission. All the Galion graders I ever came across had manual transmissions but I have been told that some of the last models they produced had a form of power-shift.
If it is a manual transmission similar to the ones I am familiar with, it would probably require either 90 or 85/140 gear oil, possibly coming down to 50 grade in winter if you are in a cold climate.

Hope this helps.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

gary in co and Deas Plant.
Yes they, the Galion motor grader had what was called a Grade-O-Matic® it was there exclusive power-shift drive which adjusted to the engine output to match the blade load. I ran one along time ago, but I don’t recall what oil it used in the transmission…. So let us know what you have, Model number and etc. someone will come up with the answer.
