A neighbor of mine recently purchased a Galion E-Z Lift Grader model no. 240. What we know so far in that it was built by Galion Iron Works & Mfg in Galion Ohio. Hoping to find someone out there in cyberspace who might by familiar with these graders or at least point me in the right direction to find some information. Hoping to find out the vintage and some of the specifics on it. Thanx ahead of time to all who help me out.

Matt

I Have inherited a galion no. 402 motor grader manufacture date unknown; it was built by the Galion Iron Works & Manufacturing Co. Galion OH. I have the instruction manual and repair parts list #2003 reprint 3/1953 which covers the chassis . I am looking for the instruction manual and repair parts list #2004 which covers the model IU4 International/Harvester 4 cylinder gas engine. Any help finding this book and any other info about this grader will be greatly appreciated also if I can help anyone else with the info I have; I will be glad to share. Thank you!!

A good place to start looking for info would be equipment salvage 740-439-5512. They have a lot of parts and info on the old galions. Thats where I got parts and boks on my galion 303 grader.

Dear Matt: I read your message on a Galion grader. Unfortunately, I have a similar problem. Recently, I found a Galion Grader with serial number 503-GK2626 (Cab model K5 - Serial Model 813). I only know that it was made by ''The Galion Iron Works & MFG Co., Galion, Ohio, but I haven't any other information of it. In spite of, I have been re-building it. So, I will be grateful if you, or someone would indicate me, if it is possible to obtain a manual of that grader. Thank you very much in advance. Yours, sincerely. Miguel

Can't give you the specifics of that model, but I called on Galion in the 70's. They were purchased by Dresser and now are owned by Komatsu. The Galion name is still used and Komatsu should have company records on that machine at Galion.
