Just purchased a cat twenty two with serial #2f9572wsp. Runs good, paints rough but hardly any rust. The magneto has a case name plate on it. Does anyone know how old this thing is, or where I can learn more about it. Thanks; Ben

We have a 1936 or 1937 Cat Twenty-Two and need the correct firing order on this four cylinder engine .. would you be able to help us in any way. We don't have a manual for this engine. My brothers are restoring this CAT . . it was originally owned by my great uncle.

Go to the Bulletin Board on www.acmoc.org (Antique Caterpillar Club), and you'll get answers to questions you haven't even thought of!

The "wsp" in your S/N means it is a wide guage, and has special parts of some sort put on at the factory.

Congratulations on finding one of the nicest (I think) small crawlers ever made. It'll be a fun and rewarding resto project, and a useful little machine when you're done. We (my Dad and I) have 2F2535, a 1935 model.
