When I bought a fruit farm last year, it came with this dozer, the neighbor told me it ran 3 to 4 years ago and graded his horse pasture, it also came with a hydraulic box scraper (?) or earth moving attachment of some sort. Can anyone tell me more about this dozer, it's value and things to look for when I try to get it running this year. I do thave the ORIGINAL Operators Instruction Book, second edition 1945. Thanks. Please respond to

You should be able to find parts and info about this crawler. The engine should be a Hercules (JXD?). There are parts available but not from the mfg. If the original carb is on, it is most likely a Tillotson of which there are no kits readily available. There are substitute carbs available. Your machine may be newer than 44. This machine is a 40-45 Hp unit, weight about 8500. Seeing other skeleton machines it seems the engine is the weak spot. The basic crawler is well built and will last a long time with proper maintenance. I do not have a suggestion on the value but it goes up if you like to tinker with old stuff.
