Hired a guy to clear a fence line of trees and brush so can get in and refence it.He came with a cat 935B with a 4in1.Did 6 acres of fenceline 10-12' wide in no time.Grabbed a hold of lots of 12" round 40+' trees and just lifted them out of the ground.Unbelievable machine.Never heard it strain once.
Couldn't talk him into leaving the machine as he was leaving.

I run a Komatsu D66E thats a Hydrostatic rear engine trackk loader like the 953 with a 2 yard buckt. Its a good machine as well for moving shot rock. I cleared an orchard for a friend of mine that bought a dilapidated orchard the had loads of blackberry bushes sumac and othe nusance trees and plants i cleard 12 acres in about 10 hours including the roads and piling the material. I mostly traveled with the teeth down to take out the bushed adn when id get a good pile level the bucket and push. With the counter steering and the rear weight you can do alot of work with one. THe grey markt dealer here has a little Mitsubishi rear engine load called a BS300 and then theyve got a little front engined loader for 6500. Im thinking about buying one for my excavation company.

I know what you mean. I had a driveway cut in yesterday and he came in with a 953 with 4in1. The driveway is about 1200ft cut into the side of a hill. What I thought was a 1 1/2 - 2 day job, he had done in about 6.5 hours. I have been looking for a small track loader, and I am still looking, but I had thought about tackling the job myself. Well, there is definately something to be said for the right machine and operator for the job. It would have taken me weeks to do what he did in less than a day.
